Finding Your Way Through The Urban Forest, Leeds

This workshop is being hosted by Treeconomics, together with Leeds City Council and Leeds Beckett University.  It is open to you if you are a Local Authority Green Space and Tree & Woodland Officer, and is free to join!

Why should you attend?

There is an ever-growing plethora of good and freely-available information about planning and managing tree populations and the urban forest.

This is especially true now, as the importance of trees is increasingly being recognised. However, navigating through all of this information can be time consuming and overwhelming, and a disincentive to taking action.

To help you get started, or to further your current programme in a more organised and effective way, this fully interactive workshop will guide you through with a step-by-step approach.

The workshop offers a unique opportunity to save time, strategise your plans, and to share and learn from the experiences of peers and practitioners.

Using existing guidance from a wide range of sources, together with first-hand experiences from the experts, we will explore recent programmes and plans from Birmingham, Belfast, London, Lyon, Manchester, and others.

You will leave the day with a full outline plan, links to freely-available resources and toolkits, a head full of ideas, and an expanded network of new colleagues.

Enhance your understanding of urban forestry concepts, boost your skills, and contribute more positively to the development of sustainable treescapes.

Spaces are limited, priority will be given to local authority green space and tree and woodland officers.
